New Zealand’s new Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 came into effect 4 April 2016.
As the venue operator and a PCBU (Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking), PWV’s duty of care to our workers, clients, service delivery partners, suppliers and general public includes pursuit of best practice to achieve a healthy and safe environment for all within our venues footprint.
It is essential to consult, cooperate and coordinate with other PCBUs whose workers are affected by PWV’s activities. This includes you, our hirers and suppliers, and that is why we have compiled this handbook for your reference. We are committed to working alongside you to ensure the health and well-being of you and your workers while in our venues. We believe in the importance of engaging in proactive conversations with all of our hirers and suppliers to ensure that everyone is on the same page and we are doing all that we can to ensure a safe and successful event.
If you would like to know more about what this means for you as event organisers and providers to event organisers - please speak with a sales executive (tel 04 801 4207) or your event & services coordinator.
