The Jimmy Cafe & Bar

The Jimmy Cafe and Bar is a vibrant cafe situated in the heart of Wellington’s arts community.  You can enjoy the relaxed and informal atmosphere at 'The Jimmy' in the grand foyer of the St James Theatre for breakfast, lunch or just a lazy Saturday brunch.

The spacious cafe is ideal for a business meeting, or simply come in to relax and watch life go by on bustling Courtenay Place.  Great coffee, scrumptious breakfast and lunch, wide variety of affordable counter food, and freshly baked sweet and savoury treats to eat in or take away.  

On show nights The Jimmy Cafe & Bar is open for all performances transforming into a stunning bar serving pre and post show drinks and pre-show dining (booking essential). You can also grab post-show espresso and sweet treats to round off your evening.

You can also book this space for your private function - just contact our sales team who are happy to assist.

Happy Hour at 'The Jimmy' is every Friday from 5pm-6.30pm.  The cafe is open Monday to Friday 7.30am – 6pm, Saturday 9am – 3pm, Sunday - closed.
