The leadership team of Positively Wellington Venues (PWV), headed up by Interim General Manager, Adam Lynch, combines the heavy hitting background of commercial, performance, sales, marketing and operations experience needed to drive the combined growth of Wellington’s six key venues – formerly run as the Wellington Convention Centre and the St James Theatre Trust.
Interim General Manager – Adam Lynch
Adam is the Interim General Manager, and previously held the position of Head of Operations & Logistics for Positively Wellington Venues. He brings international experience to this role, having worked in senior event and hospitality management in both Europe.
Prior to moving to Wellington, Adam was the Operations Manager at Auckland’s Vector Arena, with overall responsibility for the planning and delivery of all events at the arena.
He also worked in ticketing management for the Rugby World Cup, and was the Operations Manager for Vbase venues in Christchurch.
Adam’s major focus and passion is around enhancing the customer experience, whilst raising the profile of New Zealand events.
Director, Performances and Exhibitions – Helen Glengarry
Helen Glengarry brings more than 10 years experience in event management, marketing and business development, including eight years at Vbase – the venue management company responsible for Christchurch’s four premier venues.
Director, Conventions and Events – Jo Darby
Jo Darby brings almost 15 years experience in delivering exceptional and high profile events to a range of public and private sector organisations – including the Air New Zealand Wine Awards Dinner, Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards, ANZ roadshows and internal conferences and the Qantas Film and Television Awards.
People and Performance Manager – Aileen Donnan
An experienced HR professional, Aileen Donnan joins the company after previous roles as HR Business Solutions Advisor at Te Papa and an HR Advisor at the Commerce Commission. Prior to moving to New Zealand in 2005, Aileen spent several years in parliamentary support roles in London.
